All care workers receive induction training and have the opportunity to complete the Care Certificate, a nationally recognised qualification. We provide ongoing mandatory training and specialist training for the conditions and needs of the people you support.
You will receive supervision from your manager at least once every six weeks. Supervision is a space to discuss your work, raise concerns, receive feedback, and plan your development.
We conduct annual appraisals for all staff, allowing for reflection on your performance, identification of development needs, and planning for your future with Earnest Support Care.
We believe in supporting people to progress in their careers. If you wish to move into senior roles, mentoring, quality assurance, or management, we will support your development through training and opportunities.
We work with people who share our values of compassion, dignity, respect, and person-centred care. You will be part of a team that genuinely cares about making a difference to people's lives.
Our leadership team is approachable, supportive, and genuinely interested in the wellbeing of our staff. We listen to feedback and continuously improve our working practices.
We understand that life happens and care work needs to fit around other commitments. We aim to offer flexibility where possible and work with staff to find arrangements that suit them.

You arrive at the service user's home at the scheduled time. You greet the person warmly and settle into the care visit.
You help with washing, dressing, grooming, or other personal care tasks, treating them with dignity and respect throughout.
You listen to how they are feeling, ask about their interests and preferences, and provide emotional support alongside practical care.
You might help prepare a meal, support medication, help with light housekeeping, provide companionship, or support community access.
Throughout the visit you maintain accurate records on the electronic care system, noting care provided and any concerns or observations.

No prior care experience is necessary, but you must be reliable, compassionate, and willing to learn. A driving licence and access to a vehicle are often useful, though not always essential for visiting service users across Swindon and Wiltshire.
